Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning

Ms. Willson designs and implements the overall marketing initiative for BDC Funding and Beard Development Corporation. She also works closely with the executive team to develop the strategic plans for the firm’s on-going growth and success.

Ms. Willson brings 25 years experience in marketing, business development and strategic planning. As worldwide marketing manager at Arthur Andersen LLP (New York), Ms. Willson created the business strategy to transition the International Tax Practice from the third worldwide provider to market leader in two years. Ms. Willson served as Director of Solutions Integration at Unisys Corporation, where she developed a solutions line portfolio that combined leading-edge technology with world-class business consulting. She also co-founded The Willson Company, a management consulting company that maximizes client’s profitability by implementing customer relationship strategies to improve service and sales. 

Ms. Willson earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in both accounting and foreign management from Georgetown University. In addition, Ms. Willson is actively involved in non-profit organizations and foundations, many of which support the education and development of women and children. She serves as Corporate Ambassador for the Middle East Partnership Initiative of the U.S. Department of State, and serves on the governing boards of the Capital Speakers Club and Innocents at Risk. Ms. Willson also is involved with Vital Voices Global Partnership, Second Chance Employment Services, and the Choral Arts Society of Washington, DC.
